Breast Augmentation

Many women choose to have their breast enlarged in order to satisfy their own desire for a fuller bust line. Your breast may not have developed to a size that meets your expectations, or one breast maybe significantly smaller than the other. You may have been happy with your breast in the past but feel that they look different now. Often, after weight loss, childbirth or as a result of aging, the breasts lose volume and their shape changes. Breast augmentation can enhance your breast size and shape, and give you the more proportional figure that you always wanted.

Plastic surgery breast enlargement is also performed for women whose breasts have shrunk following breast-feeding or women who lost breasts due to an illness.

Breast augmentation or known as breast enlargement is a goal that many women have and an entire industry of products and services has popped up to serve their needs.

Breast augmentation is done under general aesthetic by inserting implants under the breast area. There are choices for placement of the implant and of the incision, and in discussion with the doctor you should be given an option that suits you best.

Once the plastic surgery breast enlargement is performed you may experience significant discomfort and you may not be able to fully move your arms for a couple of days. Pain can be controlled with medication. There will be some swelling that will last for two to three weeks. A few patients reported feeling numbness in the nipple area.

The time it takes to fully recover varies according to where the implants were placed and your past experience with recovering from surgeries. If the implant is placed under the muscle, recovery time to all routine activities will be seven to ten days and you can return to active exercise in about a month. The recovery time is quicker if the breast implants are placed above the muscle.
