Buttock Lift & Implant
As we age our buttocks gradually changes shape by drooping and sagging. This can have harmful effects on one's self image and sense of attractiveness.
In the past, nothing could be done to correct this unfortunate circumstance. Buttock lift surgery can help an individual regain the confidence and youthful appearance that aging has prematurely taken away. The best candidates for buttock lift surgery have poor skin tone in the buttock area. This is characterized by loose or excess skin, stretch marks and cellulite. Patients who suffer from poor skin quality cannot benefit from liposuction and can only improve the appearance of their buttocks through buttock lift surgery.
The buttock lift can be achieved by removing excess fat and loose skin in the buttock area. It can be reduced by performing a buttock lift in combination with lipoplasty (liposuction). Incisions required for skin removal can often be hidden in the fold beneath the buttocks.
The buttock can also be lifted with fat injections and procedure is also referred to as the Brazilian butt lift. In addition to more volume and prominence, the fat injections give the butt more projection or lift.
A buttock lift can be performed sometimes in conjunction with the butt implant procedure.
Butt Implants (Buttock Augmentation) will help those who wish to enhance the appearance, size and definition of gluteal muscles in the buttocks area. Women who desire a Jennifer Lopez butt implants "look" can attain this through the use of gluteal implants, adding more body curvature to those areas where they previously were deficient, and helping them sculpt the select areas they desire.
People who wish to enlarge, lift, and shape the buttock mounds, have a variety of different buttock implants from which to choose. The decision for the shape and size of the implants is made depending on each person’s individual desires and their general body type. It is guided by the surgeon's personal experience from having performed many such procedures in the past. Buttock implants are very soft, solid silicone implants and are completely unlike breast implants, which are soft, fluid-filled sacks
Placed into each buttock area through a single incision overlying the tailbone, buttock implants are positioned to look as natural as possible for the optimal cosmetic effect. Since this is an area of the body that is required for walking, sitting, and so many other movements, patients might experience greater pain during the recovery period than other common cosmetic surgery procedures and the recovery time is usually longer.
Pain medications typically are prescribed to help with the discomfort, but after approximately five to seven days the patient is able to be up and about; moving, walking, and sitting more comfortably.
There is generally very little swelling and bruising after buttock augmentation so the results may be seen very soon after surgery. Full physical activities are usually permitted within a month after surgery. Surgical risks may include: infection, bleeding, nerve and/or muscle damage, slippage and asymmetry.
