The Asia International Tourism Expo 2008 (AITE 2008) is held for the first time in Malaysia from May 22 to May 25, 2008 at Kuala Lumpur.

Jointly organized by the Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents, Malaysian Chinese Tourism Association, Bumitra Malaysia and Malaysian Indian Tourism Association, the expo comprised two days of business-to-business sessions and was opened to the public on the last day.

Some 200 buyers and sellers took part in the expo. These include airlines, cruise lines, health resorts and spas, hotels, MICE organizers and venues, travel agents, tourism boards and NTOs.

The pictures above were taken during AITE 2008. We had a successful participation and met numerous new partners and friends. Some had visited our office immediately after AITE while others are coming back to visit us soon.

During AITE 2008, Makeover Vacations has added several agents to the list of our Marketing Partners. We had established commitments from foreign Travel Agents to market and deliver medical holiday tourist into Malaysia. Six (6) agreements partnership were secured with tourism buyers from Australia, Myanmar, Saudi and Indonesia, There is strong interest to make Malaysia as the preferred hub for health tourism.
